• FAQ

  • Q1. Do I really need to use the Booster Gel with the device?

"A. The Age-R Device operates by delivering medium-frequency energy, and therefore must be used with products that are capable of transmitting the frequencies. It is highly recommended that you use the dedicated gel serum that was developed alongside the device for best results. Medicube's Booster Gel contains plant stem cell extract, which helps in the improvement of skin elasticity. *You can use other moisturizers but we recommend to use with our Booster Gel for the best results."

Q2. How much gel do I need to apply?

"A. We recommend applying a generous layer on the desired area, as well as a small dollop on the roller heads of the device. TIP. Using more gel when you can't feel any stimulation. If you feel that the strength of the device is too weak or too strong, try adjusting the amount of gel applied. "

Q3. I don't feel any microcurrent without the gel on. Is that normal?

    A. Yes, it is! Just as an ultrasound require its own ultrasound gel, the mid-frequency current can only be delivered with the help of its own conductor. Please apply the gel before using the the device.

Q4. Should I wash off the gel once I’m finished?

    A. Our gel was developed to be multifunctional as both a current conductor as well as a serum that helps to improve the facial contours through moisturization of the skin. You can wipe it off if you would like, but we recommend patting it into the skin after finishing your massage. If the skin feels dry even after applying the gel, apply your favorite moisturizer on top to finish.

Frequently asked
questions

Do I need a special gel when using Booster Pro, or how should I apply skincare products when using the different modes?

• For Booster mode, apply a light serum or ampoule, followed by a thick cream or gel. Then use MC and Derma Shot Mode with any remaining product on the skin, adding more if needed.

I'm curious about the order of use. Can I use all 4 modes in the same routine?

• Yes, all four modes can be used in one routine. Start with Air Shot on clean, dry skin before applying any skincare, then use Booster, MC, and Derma Shot with your regular skincare.

What is the usage cycle for each mode?

• Be sure to check the usage cycle before use, and adjust the usage cycle and usage time according to your skin type.

How should I use skincare when using the booster, mc, and derma shot modes simultaneously?

• Absorb a light serum and ampoule in booster mode, then follow with a rich, viscous cream/gel formulation. After booster mode care, use mc mode and derma shot mode with the remaining amount on the skin without applying additional skincare. If the intensity feels too low, add additional product. *The above usage method is suggested for simple understanding. Find the method that suits you best while using it.

Can all 4 modes be used around the eyes?

• All four modes of Booster Pro can be used around the eyes, and we recommend using level 1 for areas with thin skin, such as around the eyes, nose, and mouth.

It’s too bright even when I close my eyes. The LED seems to be too strong. Is this okay?

• It may feel too bright, but it has no effect on your eyes and is safe to use. However, if there is a lot of product on the head and the central LED operates even without contact with the skin, be careful of direct eye exposure. For your comfort, you can turn off the LED through the app if needed.

Is it defective if there are scratches on the device head?

• We used surgical steel, which is commonly used in medical devices such as scalpels and syringe needles, for the device head. While it is non-allergenic and rust-resistant, slight scratches may occur during the manufacturing or cleaning process due to the characteristics of surgical steel.

Is it defective if there are scratches on the LED head?

• The lines on the booster pro LED section are not scratches but marks formed during plastic production. It is safe to use and is not defective.

Frequently Asked
Questions

What's the difference between Booster Pro and Booster Pro X2?

• Booster Pro X2 features upgraded dual-head technology with 2X power output and 2X electrodes, along with new Dual Mode, Sheet Mask Boost Mode, and AI-powered personalized care through the AGE-R App.

What are the new Dual Mode, Mask Mode, and AI Mode features?

• Dual Mode lets you combine two modes at the same time, allowing you to target multiple skin concerns in a single routine while saving time. Dual Mode combinations can be customized in the AGE-R App.
Sheet Mask Boost Mode is designed to be used over a sheet mask to help maximize the absorption of the remaining essence, supporting deeper hydration and a more radiant-looking glow.
AI Mode analyzes your skin condition and skincare habits to recommend a personalized care routine. This feature is available exclusively through the AGE-R App.

Can I use Mask Mode with a gel mask?

• We recommend using Mask Mode with essence-rich sheet masks rather than gel masks. Sheet masks that contain plenty of essence help the device glide comfortably while supporting better skincare absorption. For the best experience, pair Mask Mode with medicube sheet masks.

Do I need the AGE-R App?

• No. You can use the device without the app using its standard modes. However, we recommend installing the AGE-R App to access advanced features such as AI Mode, Dual Mode customization, remote control, and personalized reports.
Some features, including AI Mode and Dual Mode customization, are available only through the app.

Which app do I need?

• Download the AGE-R App, create a free account, and connect your Booster Pro X2 via Bluetooth.

Does the device automatically reconnect?

• Yes. Once paired, Booster Pro X2 automatically reconnects to your smartphone via Bluetooth when the device is turned on.

Can I use Booster Pro X2 every day?

• Most modes are suitable for daily use. Air Shot Mode is recommended 2–3 times per week, while the remaining modes can generally be used 1–3 times daily depending on your routine.

Which skincare products work best with Booster Pro X2?

• The device works well with hydrating and nourishing skincare, such as serums, ampoules, creams, and sheet masks. For the best experience, we recommend pairing the device with medicube's PDRN, Collagen, and other moisturizing skincare lines, as well as medicube sheet masks.
If you're using products with exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA/PHA), retinol, or high concentrations of vitamin C, we recommend introducing them gradually. If you're new to these ingredients or have sensitive skin, start with lower frequency or avoid using them with the device until your skin has adjusted. Always follow the product's usage instructions.

Are there any areas I should avoid when using the device?

• Yes. Avoid using the device directly over the Adam's apple (front of the neck) and do not use it too close to the eyes. For a comfortable and safe experience, always follow the recommended treatment areas and instructions in the user guide.

Is Booster Pro X2 suitable for sensitive skin?

• The device offers six adjustable intensity levels, allowing you to start at a lower level and gradually increase as your skin becomes accustomed to the treatment.

How long should each mode take?

• Most treatments take about 5–10 minutes. AI Mode recommends personalized treatment times based on your skincare routine and skin condition.
